VISITING EDINBURGH

Exploring Edinburgh and everything the Scottish captial city has to offer, is a must for every visitor to Scotland.  Base yourself in our centrally located apartment and experience the very best that Edinburgh has to offer, right on your doorstep.

TRON SQUARE

Tron Square itself is a handsome, historic development dating from around 1900 – originally built as tiered housing for local workmen, and one of the first of its kind to feature deck access. Today it forms a quiet, characterful enclave in the middle of one of Europe’s most visited city centres. Both the Royal Mile and the Cowgate have direct entrances to the square.

EDINBURGH MILITARY TATTOO

One of Edinburgh’s iconic spectacles, the Edinburgh Military Tattoo transforms the Castle Esplanade into a breathtaking stage of music, marching and storytelling each August. From the apartment’s central Old Town location, you’re just a short walk from Edinburgh Castle, making it easy to soak up the atmosphere and return home effortlessly after the show.
Edinburgh's Fringe Box Office is just a moments walk from the Tron Square Residence

EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL

If you’re visiting during the Edinburgh Festival or Fringe, the apartment’s location is simply unbeatable. The Fringe Box Office is less than one minute’s walk away. Beat the queues by being first in line each morning, without having to get up at the crack of dawn.

Meadow Park Edinburgh

MEADOW PARK

The Meadow Park, 12-15 minutes’ walk from the flat, is the largest, and one of the most popular public parks in Edinburgh, is a great place to relax and unwind or why not put on your trainers and go for a run around. The park hosts regular events throughout the year.
Arthur's Seat Edinburgh

ARTHUR'S SEAT

A walk-up Arthur’s Seat and Salisbury Crags (located in Holyrood Park) should not be missed. The old volcano grants a breath-taking view of Edinburgh and, particularly, Edinburgh Castle. The Guardian offers a great guide of the walk with step by step directions as well as an interactive map of the walk.

The Real Mary Kings Close

THE REAL MARY KINGS CLOSE

Step down into Edinburgh’s hidden history. The Real Mary Kings Close, is a warren of underground streets and spaces underneath the slopes of the Royal Mile. The Close can be a strange concept to understand. Back in the 1600’s, Mary King’s Close and other neighbouring Closes were at the heart of Edinburgh’s busiest and most vibrant streets; open to the skies and bustling with traders selling their wares to the Old Town’s residents. Why would this street find itself underground 400 years later?
Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile

EDINBURGH CASTLE & THE ROYAL MILE

Dominating the city skyline, Edinburgh Castle is one of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks. Perched atop an ancient volcanic rock, it offers breathtaking views across the city and a fascinating journey through centuries of history, from royal residences to military stronghold. PRINCES STREET & SHOPPING

Running through the heart of the city, Princes Street is Edinburgh’s most famous shopping destination, offering a mix of high street favourites, department stores and stunning views across the Gardens to the Castle. Just a short walk from the apartment, it’s perfectly placed for everything from leisurely browsing to picking up essentials, with nearby George Street and Multrees Walk adding a touch of luxury to your shopping experience.
